There's one core truth you first need to hear:

When we talk about Inner Ownership, we're talking about your ability to trust and honour your own experience, values and beliefs – even when other people see things differently, have stronger opinions, or don't agree with you.

When This Pillar Is Eroded:
  • You constantly second-guess yourself and overthink what you "should" think, say or do.
  • Other people's opinions, moods or reactions feel more important than your own experience of what's true for you.

Emotional Legitimacy

When we talk about Emotional Legitimacy, we're talking about your ability to simply allow your emotions to be felt without judgement — even if other people don't understand them, agree with them, or think you "shouldn't" feel that way.

When This Pillar Is Eroded:
  • You feel guilty or "wrong" for feeling what you feel — like your emotions are too much, over the top, or not allowed.
  • Anxiety, shame or overwhelm are felt and your first assumption is "I've messed up", "I've done something wrong", "I've failed" or "I'm not good enough".
  • You quickly shut your feelings down by distracting, suppressing, over-explaining, or apologising — just for feeling that way.
  • You judge yourself for your emotional reactions and try to fix yourself, instead of asking what the feeling is trying to tell you.
When This Pillar Is Strong:
  • You allow yourself to feel without needing a "good reason" or validation from others that it's OK.
  • Big emotions can show up without you instantly panicking, fixing yourself, or assuming you've done something wrong.
  • You treat your emotions as signals to listen to, not proof that something is "wrong" with you.
  • You know how to stay with and support yourself through what you feel, so the feelings can move through instead of running your behaviour.
Why it matters:

The stronger your Emotional Legitimacy, the less you turn feelings into self-blame, self-judgement or proof that something is "wrong" with you — and the more you can actually support yourself through what you feel, so you can stay grounded when big emotions show up and still choose actions that honour you.

Aligned Action

Aligned Action

When we talk about Aligned Action, we're talking about taking small, honest steps on the outside that reflect who you really are on the inside — especially in the moments when it feels scary, awkward, difficult or uncomfortable.

When This Pillar Is Eroded:
  • You say yes when you mean no, or go along with things just to keep the peace or avoid conflict.
  • You know what feels true for you, but you freeze, overthink or talk yourself out of acting on it.
  • You change your behaviour to keep others comfortable, even when it leaves you feeling resentful, invisible or drained.
  • You feel stuck in "I know better, but I'm still not doing it" and use that as more proof that something is wrong with you.
When This Pillar Is Strong:

Ben Milston - Transformational Coach

Hey! I'm Ben Milston, a Transformational Coach and founder of Ben Milston Coaching.

For years I quietly lived with depression, anxiety, harsh self-talk and the constant pressure to be who I thought I had to be to feel accepted. I overthought everything, people-pleased & shrank myself – really anything to feel liked and good enough.

Eventually I realised I'd been deeply conditioned my whole life, and I needed to step back and unlearn what I'd been told was good, right and true for everyone else – and figure out what felt right to me.

This led to years of travel, meditation, community living and deep inner work – a long process of reconditioning myself, rebuilding my perceived self-value and learning how to actually live in a way that felt like me.

How much time do I need each day?
To get the most out of this course, it is recommended to put aside 45–60 minutes per day. Note – on day 7, put aside about 2 hours to include day 7's short video plus the Breakthrough Mapping Session (approx. 90 minutes).
What format is the course in?
Everything is online and pre-recorded. Once you join, you'll get access to your own Recondition Yourself Client Portal — your personal space where all your trainings, guided meditations, and journaling prompts live in one place. You'll also get access to a private Facebook community and a Zoom link for your Breakthrough Mapping Session. It's laid out as a 7-day journey, designed to be done over one week so you can build real momentum.
Do I have to start on a specific date?
No. Once you join, you can start your 7 days whenever you're ready. The material is structured as a focused 7-day process, and you'll get the best results if you move through it within that time frame.
What if I miss a day and fall behind?
It's okay – life happens. If you miss a day, you can catch up the next day or double up on a day that feels lighter. The course is designed as a 7-day container, so I encourage you to keep as close to that rhythm as you can.
When can I book in my Breakthrough Mapping Session?
As soon as you join, you can book right away – however, the calendar only allows bookings from 7 days after you start the course, up until 14 days after the course has started. This ensures you've moved through the core trainings first.
